Definition of connector:

It generally refers to all the connector components and accessories used in electronic signals and power supplies. The connector is a bridge of all signals. Its quality not only affects the reliability of current and signal transmission, but also affects the entire Operational quality of electronic machines

The types of connectors can be distinguished in the following ways:

1) According to the appearance: circular electrical connector, rectangular electrical connector. Circular electrical connectors are the most used in military equipment (aviation and aerospace). Rectangular electrical connectors are mostly used on printed circuit boards of electronic devices.

2) According to the structure:

According to the connection method: threaded connection, bayonet (quick) connection, card lock connection, push-pull connection, direct plug-in connection, etc.;

According to the terminal connection form of the contact body: crimping, welding, winding; screw (cap) fixing;

Classified by environmental protection: environment-resistant electrical connectors and ordinary electrical connectors

3) According to the purpose: sealed electrical connectors, high temperature electrical connectors, separated electrical connectors, filter electrical connectors, power electrical connectors.

Connector product design generally has the following process:

1. Industry trends or customer needs refer to industry standards or customer standards

2. Design and analysis, design the product structure against the necessary conditions, use material analysis tools, test tools to calculate and test whether the design can meet the necessary conditions

3. Design prototype and confirmation, design model establishment and review confirmation, sample production and test confirmation

4. Specification recognition, test product performance according to customer requirements, make "Specification Acknowledgement" and send it to customers for recognition.

5. Production standardization, operating standards established before mass production, such as SOP, SIP, BOM

6. Temperature life. When exposed to a high temperature environment where the mechanical properties fail due to temperature changes, evaluate the impact of this environment on electrical stability. High temperature will cause contact oxidation and reduce the positive force of the terminal, which will reduce the electrical performance.

7. Temperature and humidity cycle
